Chandler Centennial Campaign
In 1907 Col. Albert Chandler gave Chandler Music Hall as a gift to the people of Randolph. The Music Hall and Gallery have been the site of hundreds of performances by traveling companies and renowned performers, theatrical productions, celebrations of local talent, community gatherings, gallery exhibits, and town meetings. Now 102 years old, Chandler is a thriving community-based arts center that attracts patrons from all over Vermont and northern New England with diverse programming and arts education opportunities.
Help is needed to complete the transformation of Chandler’s historic building so it meets the needs of modern productions and of our patrons and performers, and complies with current building codes. With the Town of Randolph the building’s owner, we are adding sprinklers, an elevator and other safety and accessibility features, additional bathrooms and other improvements for patron comfort. Thanks to the generosity of Chandler's friends and patrons the RAISE THE CURTAIN goal of $3.2 million has been met! Now for the finishing touches-- please join us in our next phase: the "TAKE A SEAT!" Campaign.
"TAKE A SEAT!" Campaign
The public is invited to sponsor one or more seats in Chandler's historic music hall, providing a unique recognition opportunity. One can select a specific favorite seat and create a lasting tribute to a person, a business, or even a special event. Seats in the hall have been divided into four affordable price tiers and requests will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. See additional "Take A Seat!" Campaign details, related seating chart, and a downloadable order form. For further information, call Chandler board members Marda Donner at 802-276-3808 or Janet Watton at 802-728-9402.

Chandler Meets $3.2 Million Centennial Project Goal!
In late January Chandler Board President Janet Watton announced the successful completion of its three-year campaign to raise $3.2 million for infrastructure improvements in the 102-year-old Chandler Music Hall and Gallery located in downtown Randolph. “Chandler staff and volunteers join with me in expressing thanks to everyone--all the individuals, businesses, foundations, and public funders throughout the region who made it possible for us to reach this ambitious goal. When we began in early 2007, it almost seemed unreachable. But because hundreds of donors value this wonderful old facility and its programming, their generosity has given us the ability to serve the region even better in the decades to come, with a safer, more comfortable, more accessible, and more modern facility.”
Volunteers & Donations Still Needed for "Finish & Fit-Up"
Though the construction work will end this summer, there is still be a lot of “finish & fit-up” to do before ribbon-cutting this fall, cautions Executive Director Becky McMeekin. Volunteers are needed for such tasks as painting and landscaping; and donations are needed for a new electronic marquee replacing the old bustles on the building’s front, new energy-efficient stoves for the kitchen, etc. For more information or if you would like to help, please contact Becky at (802) 728-9878 or by email.
